A key role in preventing money laundering risks and financial sanctions violations, as well as in promoting a strong compliance culture on AML matters.
About this job
You will join the Anti Money Laundering & Financial Sanctions Unit, which is responsible for anti-money laundering activities. Together with the team, you will support business structures in anti-money laundering compliance and enhanced due diligence during the onboarding of high-risk clients. Additionally, you will handle second-level controls planned quarterly and the appropriate reporting, as well as monitoring clients through automatic detection systems and conducting investigations of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in cases of unusual transactions. You will be responsible for project management activities related to the unit's projects. Finally, you will have the opportunity to utilize your organizational and relational skills by preparing materials for the annual training on anti-money laundering topics. You will be employed under a maternity cover contract.
What you need
- Degree in Law or Business Administration
- At least 3 years of experience in structured consulting firms or banking/financial institutions
- Appropriate knowledge of AML regulations and related operational compliance requirements
- Knowledge of Financial Sanctions regulations and any relevant experience in this field would be an asset
- Strong flexibility, problem solving and team-oriented mindset
- Excellent knowledge of the Office Suite (in particular Excel and PowerPoint)
- Fluent English
Remuneration
A Total Reward package commensurate with your level of experience, which includes, among other components, a Gross Annual Salary ranging from €38,000 to €45,000.

The Competence Line Compliance & Anti-Financial Crime is the control function of illimity Bank and the Group, responsible for assessing the compliance of products and business processes with regulations both ex-ante and on an ongoing basis. It conducts independent control activities to ensure their continuous compliance.
